Chocolate Chrome

Here's the best looking 2005 Pete 379exhd available for sale right now.  We saw the beauty in this truck and with a little faith and hard work, we transformed her into one bad mother.  We stripped her down to the bare minimum so that we could shine her up and start from the ground up.

We installed new custom fenders and painted them mocha frost pearl to accent the brown color of the truck.  Then we added monster 8" Dynaflex stacks on it to give it the "bad Larry" look.  We put a custom drop visor, custom LVRD grill, Texas square bumper, SS hood extensions, SS cowl panels, SS breather/cab/sleeper lights, and added extra boxes behind the fuel tanks.  On the inside we chromed out the gauges, dash vents, and toggle switches, as well as putting wood door armrest/handles on it.  With the American Class interior already in it this truck is everything a true owner/operator could want.

It's got a 475 CAT with a 13 spd behind it and it not only sounds good with the 8" pipes, but it can haul some serious you-know-what.

We're happy we've turned out another one-off hood for someone to really be proud of.  Check out www.interstate-trucks.com to get more info on this truck and some of our others.

Thank you Matt w/K BAR M Company!

This morning Matt with K BAR M Company purchased a 2010 Kenworth W900L from us.  He dealt with our salesman Craig Gerdik and was an absolute pleasure to work with.  Matt had unfortunately wrecked his truck last week so he was in the need for a replacement so he could get back to work quickly.

At the age of 30, Matt has held a CDL since he was 18 and owned his own truck for the past 5 years.  He hauls cattle and is a very successful young man and we are pleased to see guys out there working hard and making a good living for themselves.

Thank you for the business Matt and good luck to you!  We look forward to doing business with you in the future.

2007 Peterbilt 379exhd

We have taken this 2007 Pete 379exhd and put our Interstate Trucks spin on it.  It had breather/cab/sleeper lights already on it when we got it, but it needed a lot more personality to make it pop.  We believe every big hood should look like the king of the road, so that's what we did with this one.

We added a custom blind mount drop visor, SS custom fenders, Texas square bumper, custom grill, SS hood extensions, SS cowl panels, and monster 8" stacks!  We have since also added SS window drops at the top of the cab and sleeper windows.  This truck looks tough going down the road.

We also chromed out all the gauges and vents as well as putting custom air brake handles on it.  The Cummins underneath the hood combined with the 8" pipes gives this Pete one mean sounding growl.  The best part of this deal is that you can own this truck for yourself.  To get more information about this particular truck click on the following link:  2007 Pete 379exhd Custom.
Contact the sales staff at 615-793-7121 or 800-488-1659 for more information.  They'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Custom Long & Tall

In a truck market that has been dominated by areodynamic, fleet spec'd equipment over the past year, it's a great feeling to have a true one-off custom Peterbilt in our hands once again. We purchased this 2007 Peterbilt 379EXHD from an owner/operator in hopes to make it our next "project" truck. It was loaded to the gills with custom chrome, lights, stainless steel accents, 8" stacks, custom paint, hardwood floors, leather seats, and tons more. It was already in great shape, because the owner took excellent care of it, but we needed to put our Interstate Trucks spin on it. First thing it needed was a fresh coat of custom Hawaiin Orchid paint on the 305" wheelbase frame. So we had her steamed off, removed all the fenders, light bars, belly pan, deck plate, and anything else that lined the frame and sandblasted it down to the bare metal so we had a fresh surface to work with.

Next step was to send it to the body shop. In true Interstate Trucks fashion, what started off with just wanting to paint the frame, we kept coming up with other ways to make the truck look cooler. So we did a fresh coat of paint on the rear full fenders, as well as changing the SS grill and grill surround to match the Flame Red Effect color on the front and rear fenders. We just knew this would set the truck off. When she rolled out of the body shop with a fresh coat of paint on the frame, fenders, and grill; she looked like a brand new truck. Once the new paint was down, we needed to send the truck back to the detail shop to have her all spiffed up and looking good. To say we threatened lives if any of the fresh paint got messed up, was an understatement. Our shop complied to our demands and they did an excellent job getting her all shined up. It really was an unfortunate time to be doing it though, seeing as it happens to be pollen season!!

To go the extra mile, like we always do, we changed every single chrome light bezel on this entire truck. In case you were counting, there are over 150 lights on this thing! And all LED at that. We also had a custom frame cover made that went over the back end of the frame from the 5th wheel back.
Now you've just seen the outside of this monster, wait until you see the inside. It is completely customed out to make a guy never want to come off the road. All the trim is painted to match the exterior, it has Sears Elite leather seats, hardwood floors, tons of chrome accents, and a refrigerator.

She's already sold and gone, but we hope to have another one very soon. Until the next time, keep on truckin'!

Big Orange

Just recently we dabbled in a new segment of the used truck industry. The segment I speak of is the world of custom sleeper trucks. We have had trucks on our lot that have had ICT sleeper conversions, but we've never had a large sleeper truck.......at least until now. We brought in a 2007 KW W900L with a 120" ARI sleeper on it and put our spin on it. The truck didn't need much since it was already really loaded up and very well taken care of, but we always have to put the Interstate Trucks touch on every truck we get. So it was solid orange and we painted the fenders black and had custom painted Harley Davidson graphics put on it. It looked sharp!

Well it caught the eye of a man from Minnesota......and his wife, of course. Kurt and Deb Schuetzler with Top Hat & Tails Transportation came across it on the internet and after seeing it in person and driving it, they decided to take it home and leave behind their 1999 KW W900L with a 110" ARI sleeper. Kurt and Deb haul a variety of products, but most commonly they haul for Purina and on their way home they haul steel. They've got a 2003 Wilson aluminum flatbed trailer with a curtain side attachment, so they are really versatile on what types of loads they can haul. They have one of the best and most desirable setups that any trucker could have. If you have to be out there on the road all the time, why not live comfortably? And these folks definitely deserve to! They have been in this business for 25 years and have put in many long hauls and still manage to be a couple of the most pleasant people we've ever come across.

Our hat is off to you Top Hat & Tails!! Good luck with your new addition and keep on truckin'.

The Difference

The difference between us and other heavy duty truck dealerships may not be so apparent by looking at TruckPaper.com, but once you pick up the phone and talk to one of our sales associates or step on our lot, it's pretty obvious. We are a family owned and operated dealership that is built on decades of experience in the new and used truck business. It started 3 generations ago when Carroll Clark started his own truck dealership in Denver, CO. He then passed his passion for truck sales onto his son and our owner, Doug Clark. Doug started in this business as a young teenager and now in his mid-50s, he's still just as passionate about it as he was back then. He has now passed his dream onto his daughter, Mandy. She has stepped into his sales shoes and plans on carrying on the business for years to come.

Not only are we a family, but the others that work for us are just as close as family. Our other sales associate, Tom Avery, has worked for Doug for 25+ years. There isn't a single individual involved in this company that doesn't understand our vision, whether that be employees or vendors. We firmly believe in selling the best used equipment out there and our personal touch is put on every single truck we sell. We go above and beyond what others are doing so that we have something we can feel extremely proud of as well as giving our customers a truck they can feel proud of.

We remember every single customer that buys a truck from us and we feel as though they are a part of our extended family. It's hard to describe the joy and excitement we feel when we see one of our trucks rolling down the road, but it's probably similar to watching your child take his or her first steps. We think so anyway. Interstate Trucks believes in taking care of our customers, because without you, we would be nothing. Thank you to all that have contributed to our dream and we look forward to helping you with your dreams.

Nashville Flood 2010

On May 1, 2010 rain started to fall over Middle Tennessee and it didn't stop for 2 days. It didn't stop until the sky had dropped about 15" of rain in a 36 hours period. Needless to say, our lakes, rivers, and streams were overwhelmed and flowed over their banks submerging most of Middle Tennessee in water. Not just a little water, but a lot of water. This flood is the worst in TN history. Several people lost their lives and thousands of homes, businesses, and cars were destroyed. Among the property lost, were hundreds of semi trucks across the mid-state. If you were one of the unfortunate victims of this flood and you lost your home, truck, or anything else; we want to express our sympathy towards you and your loved ones. All of our employees were spaired from any major loss, so we want to help anyway we can. We have donated to the flood relief and now we want to help put you back into another truck. We have some great inventory on our lot and we are willing to work with you or your insurance company to get you back on the road A.S.A.P. Please contact Tom Avery or Mandy Mitchell with any questions or concerns. We look forward to hearing from you.
